ok- so not so good at ther everyday posting :-) but hey- i'm the only one reading this right!
so saturday farmers market started this weekend- and it was mixed with a bunch of fun drunks from food and wine! it was fun, plus it gave me a break from thinking about the wedding :-) which is alway nice. I know I complain about the planning- but i did manage to write up the ceremony- so yea me!
But moving on, here are some more pix-
We made grilled chesses with the bread I baked- which turned out really good- (not as herby as i'd liked) but we ate them before i remebered to take a pix! So instead, I decided to make the most awesome vegan chocolate chip cookies - with walnuts, pecans and coconut. yum- I gave alot away and recieved the ever flattering comment- "i can't believe these are vegan!" - I know right, I can't either...
it made a ton of cookies! -33 to be exact- anyone ever wants any of these recipes I'd be happy to post them!
and finally a garden update!
our peonies are just starting to bloom- and they smell fantastic.
I'm going to harvest the garlic scapes tonight- and make something with it :-) any suggestions?
our first strawberry of the season!! and yea- plus, we got to eat it before the birds did!!
the lupine as always are huge! and gorgeous-
the poppy are going off too- and they move fast! as i'm writing this five more have already bloomed!
we also harvested our cute little bell pepper!- that may have to go into a dish with the scapes- i'll let you know how all that turns out-
